Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By accessing and using Breve, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The service

Breve is a lead-sheet and practice app — jazz, bossa nova, samba, blues and other standards, with harmonic analysis and a metronome. Breve can also read a chart you already have (file, photo, or link) and turn it into a band you can play along with on your device.

3. Account and access

Browsing requires no account. To save favorites and import sheets, you create an account with email and password, or sign in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for keeping your password and account secure and for activity on your account.

• Provide a valid email.
• Report any unauthorized use of your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app.

4. Minors

Breve is not directed to children under 13. We recommend guardian supervision for users under 18.

5. Intellectual property

Compositions belong to their respective owners. Breve provides tools for access and study (chord charts and analysis) and claims no ownership over third-party works.

6. Chart import

Import is a tool for material that is yours: only import charts you own or otherwise have the right to use. The content you import stays yours — Breve does not host it, distribute it, or make it available to anyone else.

The reading happens at your request and on your behalf, as your agent, and the result comes back to your device. When you import from a link, your device downloads it straight from the source — never through our servers; complying with that source's terms is your responsibility.

The reading is automatic and can be wrong. Check the result before relying on it (the song screen shows what's left to review). Each account gets a free monthly scan quota, which we may adjust.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Using the app for unlawful or unauthorized purposes.
• Interfering with the security or operation of the service.
• Redistributing, copying, or reselling the app's content.
• Importing material you don't have the right to use, or circumventing the scan quota.
• Creating fake or automated accounts.
• Transmitting spam or malicious content.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and will notify you when appropriate. You can close your account at any time.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil.
